Rick und Olli
Rick and Olli typify, albeit loosely, the concept of “grown up” and “child”, although the definitions are fluid. Sometimes the adult behaves childishly, while the child acts with unexpected maturity. But for the optimistic duo, the adult world of reasonableness has not yet managed to dispel life’s magic or trivialize its wonder. “Anything goes”, is their motto and, with their heads in the clouds and feet in the mud, most of their plans end in disaster. But who cares? Fun is what counts and passion for the thing itself. And although Olli does seem to pay the price of their misadventures most of the time, the books always balance. For Rick and Olli are the best and truest of friends.
